Football Riot Simulator

Right, I’m going to have a go at making something using the XNA game studio thing from Microsoft. I’ve decided some sort of simulation could be fun, and after a little chat on the Llamasoft IRC forum, decided the only good bit about football games is the violence.

My idea is to somehow create a game where the aim is to disrupt a game of football by making the crowd riot. Rather than controlling individual members, the player will be in control of various factors such as the alcohol level of the crowd, the amount the opposition hate each other, and the likelihood of a pitch invasion constant.

I imagine the game having a top-down view of the pitch and stands, with red and blue dots for the crowd, and some white ones for the players. There may also be some black dots for the riot police.

And that’s about as far as I’ve got at the moment, apart from a quality piece of design documentation I’ll scan and put online in a minute when I’ve plugged my scanner in.

If this were the 80s I'd be sat in front of a C64 or Speccy, or taking VCRs apart.
