Processing is an open source programming language and environment for people who want to program images, animation, and interactions.
I use Processing for testing out bits of code, and for having fun. It’s the coding equivalent of picking up a paintbrush and drawing whatever comes into mind. It’s satsifying having a vague idea and turning it into code quickly.
